Yes, folks, it's true.  Vampires are on their way to The Haunted Grounds.

VAMPIRES 2009!

 

Although the Mummy was a big hit last Halloween, we HATE to do the same, boring thing from year to year!  So, this year we're going to be doing Vampires!

 
Last year there was a mummy and treasure in the tomb. What will there be this year in the Vampire’s Catacombs?

This is our second Halloween in this location, and due to a little too much press last year we’re not publishing the address, but hope local folks will return again.

Well, we've moved to Hanover.  The delightful Rusty has graciously offered up her home - which happens to also be the childhood homes of both Lesley and Jeff.

Saturday the 31st is almost here!

Have you been Les Catacombes de Paris? Perhaps there are catacombs right in your neighborhood. Halloween promises the Vampires will come out after dark. Will Edward Cullen (Twilight) be there? Or perhaps Bram Stoker’s Dracula?
Even though there are fewer pirates there still may be some treasure to be found… and of course candy. Don’t forget this is a YARD HAUNT and not a haunted house. There is no party or entrance into the house. We're just a bunch of overgrown kids who really like making children smile at Halloween. It was only one knucklehead on a roof 10 years ago (see the story here)

So, stop by - look around - hopefully you'll like what you see and you won’t get too scared. Muuhhaahahaha.

WHEN IS ALL OF THIS HAPPENING?

  • Setting up (Saturday, October 31)

If you'd like to see us set up, we'll be assembling things on and off throughout the afternoon weekend.  Feel free to stop by and ask any questions.  We'd love to talk with you about the house.

  • Kiddie-time (5 - 6pm)

We're going to keep things relatively tame for the younger ones before 6pm.  That will be a good time to bring the youngsters by.  It should still be light enough to get some nice pictures, and maybe try a treasure hunt or two.

  • Scary-time (after 6pm)

Once 6pm hits, we're going to bring out the big guns.  The scary music, vampires, monsters and the rest will be on the prowl.  Although we'll still have candy and some other tame things going on, it may be a little intense for some of the younger folks.  As always, your judgment is the best guidance.
